RACE RELATIONS COMMITTEE LEADS FELLOWSHIP FORUM The Oberlin Race Relations Committee (RRC) -- in the persons of George Abrams, Marian Baum and Diana Kahn -- led the Fellowship Forum on February 24th. An initial review contrasted the public image of Oberlin (hotbed of liberalism, station on the Under- ground Railroad) with some of the unhappy realities of race, society and opportunity that Oberlin shares with the rest of the country. Concerns and interests from the UUs included lack of integration Down- town, projects in the school system, lack of neighborhood journalism, and presence of racially restrict- ive covenants in land deeds. RRC seeks follow-up input from any and all. Email addresses will be circulated on the Internet by the Social Action Committee. George Abram has no email address but is ready to hear from you at 775-1812.
