What was GA like for those from Oberlin UU Fellowship who attended? Hear shared experiences from those who went to General Assembly in Columbus. We are already looking forward to New Orleans General Assembly in 2017
Groucho Marx once said, “I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.” Why do we join (or not join) a congregation? UU’s share principles, not dogma. We include scientists and poets, mystics and measurers. Some of us are bi-congregational. What impels us to belong, to be members? Explore gifts and challenges of belonging.
This service will celebrate both the entry of the children in RE who are becoming youth and the youth who are becoming adults. It will be a time to reflect on the past and to look towards the future.
Many of us struggle with attempts to organize and keep our life’s chaos in control. We can’t manage it. It is the chaos that brings forth life and love and beauty and new growth. In the void there was nothing. At some point there was something and some things. Then, eventually life was formed. We must find a balance between the perfect structure and the messy perfection that is a healthy happy life.
