Joanne Rahn, DLFD
Joanne Rahn is our new Director of Life Span Faith Development (DLFD). This is a new title that replaces Director of Religious Education (DRE). It is a title that reflects the orientation within Unitarian Universalism that faith development is a life long process.
Joanne looks forward to new roles in and around the Fellowship. She has been active on the religious education committee (now LFD committee) and has been teaching Sunday school this past year. She has also been actively involved in Ohio Meadville District's events including life span education workshops. These include the annual curriculum fair as the Renaissance Module on Diversity.
She is a new member of the Fellowship and is new to Unitarian Universalism but her training and involvement in child-focused community education and larger world views, personal and professional visions have made it easy for her to embrace the principles and purposes of Unitarian Universalism.
As a Montesorri teacher and administrator she has worked with families and children nationally in the US and internationally in Belize, England, VietNam, Hong Kong and has studied in Hungary and Italy. In addition to the quarter time position with the fellowship, she provides consultation to children's programs in Montesorri, Reggio-Emilio methods.
