Our Radio Program

The Schedule

Connections, Thursdays on
WOCB, 91.5FM, 10am - 11am

Our program, Connections, is aired every Thursday from 10am to 11am. The format is live conversation on the order of FreshAire with Terri Gross on NPR. Laura Huth and I have been the hosts. We've interviewed such personalities as our own Cindy Frantz on the state of energy conservation in Oberlin, Nancy Boutilier and her poetry, and Eric Noernberg, City Manger of Oberlin. Our mission is to discuss issues of life in Oberlin, Lorain County, and beyond as they related to our covenant (quest for truth, love, justice, and environmental responsibility). With the slate of guests soon to be interviewed, I believe that we are living into that goal

While preparing for the weekly program is time consuming, as all good things are, I invite you to do 4 things:

(1)Make it a point to listen to the program, as a supporter and as a critic.

(2) Share the fact that we have the program with your neighbors and friends.

(3) Suggest topics and guests you feel would be interest. Hey, consider being a guest yourself, sharing your area of expertise.
(4) Consider recording our own PSA's (Public Service Announcements), e.g., a famous UU personality, this day in UU history, etc.

(5) Volunteer to help design and implement a program on the 7 Principles and Purposes.

Your insight and participation are greatly appreciated and needed as this program represents the OUUF and Unitarian Universalism worldwide. I'm excited and I hope you are, too.

Testing, Testing, 1 2 3,
Cynthia
